PRESENT: Oversees multiple restaurants, leads special projects, provides culinary support to Chef Michael White; currently working on the launch of Marea in Dubai

ALEXYS FEASTER, Director, Player Development, NBA

PAST: Helped get President Obama re-elected as National Regional Surrogate Director for Obama 2012, harnessing high-profile recording artists and influencers through her entertainment industry background

PRESENT: Creates innovative programs for NBA players at all career stages to feed their off-the-court development and personal interests

FORTE: Building and sustaining strong, authentic relationships with people from all walks of life

FOCUS: Encouraging people of influence to lead with empathy while growing as a leader herself—specifically, being unapologetic about demanding recognition, equality and support


ANNIE HORN, Associate Manager, Social Responsibility, NBA

PAST: After stints working for an empowering youth soccer organization in South Africa and as a junior account executive in St. Louis, moved to New York to pursue a career at the intersection of sports and social responsibility

PRESENT: Support the League’s global social responsibility and youth basketball participation initiatives to improve player experiences & leverage NBA platform to make the world a better place.

PAST: Built a fast-growing digital advertising practice for Infinitive; managed multiple aspects of advertising and project management at Washington Post

PRESENT: Oversees operations of the the leading post-cable business and headline-news network, from production and editing to strategically managing Cheddar’s project portfolio

FORTE: Putting herself in others’ shoes, which has honed her instincts and strengthened her relationships

FOCUS: Taking risks more confidently; learning from the challenges and doubts others face; getting her kids out the door on time tomorrow


 

JASH MEHTA, Co-Founder, Pop & Bottle

PAST: Moved on from the London School of Economics to start her career as a business consultant to Fortune 500 companies

PRESENT: Leads a woman-run, plant-based beverage company whose bottled superfood lattes are stocked at Whole Foods, Target, Safeway and other retailers across twenty states

FORTE: Being a versatile problem-solver

FOCUS: Getting better than ever at managing time and priorities, with confidence and a clear vision driving her choices

PRESENT: Senior clergy; oversees finance, human resources, stewardship and development, and the Riverside Archives

FORTE: Furthering causes of justice by building systems and listening strategically and with empathy

FOCUS: Transforming the institutions she works with, keeping sight of the big picture amid the details of each operational decision

SARAH SEVEN, CEO and Creative Director, Sarah Seven

PAST: Began designing and selling her contemporary, chic, anything-but-fussy wedding dresses on Etsy while still a design student in Oregon

PRESENT: Designs for and manages her own two bridal lines, stocked in boutiques across the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia

FORTE: Making the hard choices needed to put her company in a strong position

FOCUS: Redefining what control looks like in a growing company, and working to create a global high service brand

KP TRUEBLOOD, Chief of Staff, ACLU

PAST: Served in the Air Force National Guard, as director of White House operations for President Obama, and as deputy C.F.O. and budget director for Hillary for America

PRESENT: Works to expand the ACLU’s work defending civil liberties, including their investment in digital, tech, and data analytics, growing membership and enhancing the organization’s influence in the courts, communities, Congress, and state legislatures around the nation
